Rugby grew up around its school and the railway works, and that history is reflected in the housing, with solid Victorian terraces near the town centre giving way to interwar semis further out and, more recently, large new build estates at Houlton. We work across all of it, matching the approach to the property.

Being fairly exposed on the edge of open Warwickshire countryside, Rugby homes take a fair share of wind, and we regularly get called out after storms for lost tiles, damaged ridge lines and gutters pulled away from fascias. The older terraces near the centre also bring their own issues with ageing slate and chimney flashing.

We cover the whole town, including Hillmorton, Bilton, Newbold and Brownsover, as well as the villages around Rugby such as Dunchurch and Long Lawford, taking on everything from small repairs to full re-roofs and new flat roofs on extensions.

Near the town centre and in Hillmorton, a lot of the housing is Victorian and Edwardian terraces, typically slate roofed with brick chimneys, built for the railway and school workforce in the nineteenth century. These roofs are generally straightforward to repair, though slate matching matters on the more visible streets.

Bilton and Newbold have a good mix of interwar and 1950s to 1960s semis and detached houses, mostly with concrete or clay tile roofs that are simple to maintain and replace when needed. Brownsover and the newer parts of town add postwar and more recent estate housing into the mix.

Houlton, Rugby's newest and largest development, is built to current standards with modern interlocking tiles, so most of the work there tends to be inspection, minor repair or guttering rather than major re-roofing, at least for now.
