Three-Layer Torch-On Felt Flat Roof Replacement in Coventry
A complete flat roof replacement carried out by our team in Coventry, from stripping the old covering to the finished torch-on felt roof.
About this project
This was a full flat roof remedial and replacement job on a home in Coventry. Rather than patching the old surface, the existing roof covering was removed so the roof deck could be exposed, checked and prepared properly before anything new went on.
The homeowner's existing rooflights were retained. We worked them into the new roof rather than replacing them, which meant careful waterproofing around each frame so the new covering and the rooflights perform as one system.
The new covering is a three-layer torch-on felt roofing system. Most of the effort on a roof like this goes into the details: the rooflights, the perimeter edges and the abutment where the flat roof meets the house wall, along with the associated leadwork. Those are the places flat roofs usually let water in first, so they got the most attention.
